Duo Accused Of Stealing Merchandise From Suffolk Store

Two men walked into a Long Island Home Depot and walked out with a brand new lawnmower - without paying, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers are attempting to locate two men who walked into the hardware store on Crooked Hill Road in Commack and stole a lawnmower valued at approximately $500.

Police said that the men stole the EGO battery-powered lawnmower at approximately 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 27.

Anyone with information regarding the suspects’ whereabouts, or who recognizes them, has been asked to contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS or texting “SCPD” and the message to 274637.
